FRAWD Investigators: Mayhem on Mar Sara | Scene 17

Imogen next calls the first man that Lilly drank with at the bar. He answers as Jimmy and sounds a little distracted. Imogen thinks she hears sounds of sporadic gunfire in the background. “Is this a bad time, Jimmy?”

“It’s always a bad time,” he replies. “How can I help you, little lady?”

“Are you familiar with the clinic outside of town?”

“What town? I’ve been around.”

Move, move, move, Imogen hears in the background, as she clarifies that she means the capital of Mar Sara. “We have a friend in common. You had a drink with her at the bar last night.”

“Gotta jog my memory. Sounds familiar. I remember drinking. I talked with someone. She said I should focus on what I want to do… something like that. I don’t remember exactly what she said. You know, I’m getting kind of busy. You! Hit them on the flank! C’mon!

“It sounds like you might have some fighting experience. Are you free this afternoon?”

“I’m really not.” Sounds of gunfire. “I’m really sorry. We’re kind of already booked.” He gives Imogen a referral for a mercenary band called the War Pigs. “They’ll do just about any job,” he tells her, “but they’ll break about everything along the way.”

“Well, since it appears the Dominion’s going to be blowing the place up anyway, I suppose it doesn’t matter,” she replies.

That catches his attention. “Whoa, whoa! Dominion blowing something up? What are you getting at?”

I thought it was a crazy idea, but we have zergs who are going to be overrunning the clinic pretty soon, and someone suggested that the best way to deal with them was to attract the Dominion to come.”

“Using the Dominion to attack the zerg. That’s almost as crazy as using the zerg to attack the Dominion,” he muses.

“I suppose, but getting zergs to do things… I don’t know anyone who has an in with that.”

“Ugh,” he groans. “I gotta tell you, you don’t want to know people who know how to do that. Trust me.”

It does indeed sound like this man has been around a bit, Imogen thinks. “Let me ask you one other question, then, and you can get back to whatever it is you’re blowing up—”

“Frag out! Get down!”

Jimmy is able to tell Imogen who organizes the Hydralisk Hunt, and conveniently, it is Joey Ray at the bar. Jimmy actually won the hunt last year, though he says he thinks he will be too busy to participate this year. As he tells Imogen goodbye and hangs up, she hears, “Raiders roll!” in the background. Lilly was more productive at the bar than she gave herself credit for.
